Sei Solo: You’re Alone? is a collaborative performance between internationally renowned artists: musician and AWE Artistic Director Benjamin Baker, and genre-bending dancers Jahra Wasasala and Ooshcon (CONJAH). Sei Solo: You’re Alone? was originally presented by At World’s Edge Festival.

Sei Solo: You’re Alone? is a Violin and Dance performance reimagining Bach’s second solo violin partita, with the interspersion of modern solo violin works by NZ composers Karlo Margetić and Gareth Farr. Performers Jahra Wasasala and ooshcon explore the vast terrain of these violin works, as they travel between beginnings and endings, emotive imagery, rapturous relationships and unexpected creatures.
Through centuries of musical language and cultures of dance, Sei Solo: You’re Alone? reminds us that in the end, we are all we have.
